Joe & Michele Visit Adi Negev-Nahalat Eran

During a recent trip to Israel, Bear Givers Founder & Chairman Joseph Sprung and Bear Givers President Michele Mirman were honored to visit Adi Negev-Nahalat Eran, a remarkable rehabilitation village in southern Israel, to hand out teddy bears and connect with the individuals who call this place home. Adi Negev-Nahalat Eran is an inclusive rehabilitation village in southern Israel dedicated to empowering people of all abilities through residential living, education, therapy, and employment opportunities. Within the campus, Joe and Michele visited the Harvey and Gloria Kaylie Rehabilitation Medical Center which is the first full rehabilitation hospital in Israel’s Negev region, offering advanced neurological, orthopedic, and geriatric care and services that keep families together throughout the recovery journey.

The visit held special significance for Joe and Michele, as they honored the memory of Harvey and Gloria Kaylie while supporting a place that reflects Bear Givers’ values of inclusion and care.

On another trip to Israel, Joe and Michele were privileged to meet Adi Negev founder Doron Almog, a legendary Israeli military and social leader. Inspired by his late son Eran, born with severe autism and cognitive disabilities, Doron and his wife built Adi Negev-Nahalat Eran as a community where dignity, healing, and opportunity come together. An Israel Prize laureate and IDF hero, Doron continues to lead the village as a model of true inclusion, guided by his belief that “the strength of the human chain is only as strong as its weakest link.”🧸
